At the 90th Thessaloniki International Fair, Thracean Mining presented its new programme supporting farmers, livestock breeders and beekeepers across Thrace, developed in collaboration with ERGOPLANNING.
The programme brings scientific knowledge and practical support directly to local producers, at no cost to participants. It includes laboratory testing of soil, water, animal feed and products, hands-on training, tailored advice for individual farms and pilot applications of new practices.
Most importantly, there is no one-size-fits-all approach. Each participant receives support based on the specific needs of their operation, from on-site visits and analysis to practical recommendations and follow-up during implementation.
The initiative is also open to young people considering a future in the primary sector, helping them gain access to knowledge, tools and expertise as they take their first steps.
The programme is part of Thracean Mining’s broader commitment to the communities of Evros and Rodopi and to supporting a sector that remains central to the region’s economy.
We believe that mining and agricultural activity must coexist and develop side by side, contributing in different ways to a strong and sustainable future for Thrace.
